Amber Heard’s legal team will no longer call Johnny Depp back to the stand — in what appears to be a last-minute reversal of courtroom strategy, according to reports Monday.

Sources previously confirmed to The Post that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star would be called to testify by his ex-wife’s lawyers on Monday. Multiple outlets, including Deadline, reported Monday that Heard’s team has changed their minds.

“Calling Depp back to the stand would be as relevant to us as a bicycle to a fish,” a source close to Heard’s side told Deadline. “Everything Depp has testified up to this point has been irrelevant to the heart of this case, and there’s no reason to believe it would be any different now.”

The actor is still expected to be called as a rebuttal witness by his own legal team on Wednesday, a source close to Depp told The Post. His ex-girlfriend, the British supermodel Kate Moss, is also set to address the jury Wednesday via video link, the source said.

The move to call Depp — who already testified over four days — back to the witness box was considered a risk for Heard’s team, given how “likable” the jury appeared to find him during his first round of testimony, legal experts previously told The Post.

“There is a risk that he is going to have more time being likable on the stand,” said civil attorney Katherine Lizardo, “when it’s actually Amber Heard’s time to present her case.”

Depp, 58, was often smiling on the stand, and showed the jury his “very unique personality,” potentially making him appealing to the panel of seven, Lizardo said.

The actor is suing Heard for $50 million over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she called herself a “public figure representing domestic violence.”

Heard, 36, countersued Depp for $100 million, claiming he defamed her when he and his lawyer Adam Waldman made statements to the press in 2020 claiming she had manufactured allegations of abuse.
