Friday just got a whole lot sweeter.
Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme are dishing out free doughnuts for National Donut Day.
The informal holiday was trending on Twitter in New York and across the US early Friday as sweet-toothed Americans shared the joy of their end-of-the-week free snack.
“Of course I celebrated #NationalDonutDay already!” wrote @lindybarnes.
“Free donut without asking for it while getting my @DunkinDonuts coffee this morning! Today will be a good day! #NationalDonutDay,” @timstjohn tweeted.
Many even ditched their diets to enjoy the day.
“I donut care I broke my diet for #nationaldonutday.”
