An American hiker has been found dead in a national park in Spain — weeks after the 27-year-old vanished on a solo trek.
Cole Henderson’s body was located Friday in the Pyrenees mountain region, which straddles the border of Spain and France, authorities said.

Rescue crews had to use a crane to lift his body.
The 27-year-old worked as an engineer in Amsterdam. Facebook/Eric SimonHenderson was last heard from on July 9 after he set off on the hike by himself, NBC News reported.
He had texted a friend to say he’d arrived in the nearby town of Torla and was planning to switch his phone to airplane mode, according to posts on social media.
He was reported missing five days later when he failed to return to his home in Amsterdam, where he’d been working as an engineer.
Henderson had worked as an engineer in San Francisco and Massachusetts, his LinkedIn shows.He was a 2020 graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee.
