The “American Idol” executive who was gunned down alongside her husband in their multimillion-dollar Los Angeles home had recently sought private security because they “felt threatened by somebody.”

Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, both 70, were allegedly killed following a suspected burglary at their home in Encino late last week, cops said.

Suspect Raymond Boodarian, 22, was arrested Tuesday — a day after police discovered their bodies during a welfare check.

In the weeks before the bloodshed, Kaye had apparently reached out to a private security firm amid fears for her safety, NBC Los Angeles reported.

“She felt threatened by somebody because of somebody around their home or around their neighborhood who felt suspicious,” said Kris Herzog, owner of the Bodyguard Group of Beverly Hills.

The couple never ended up hiring the company.

It wasn’t immediately clear if their home had previously been targeted.

However, the property, which last sold for around $4.5 million in 2023, appeared to be among the largest and most secure in their neighborhood, surrounded by high walls with spikes.

Neighbors told NBC Los Angeles that the affluent area has been frequently targeted by thieves over the years.

Police believe Boordarian had allegedly been burglarizing Kaye’s home while the couple was away on July 10.

The suspect was likely in the home for 30 minutes before the couple returned and busted him, detectives allege.

Police had responded that same afternoon to reports of a burglary at the Encino home, but said there were “no signs of forced entry or trouble.”

“We didn’t hear anything,” neighbor Amee Faggen said.

“My renter saw somebody hopping the fence, but that was back on Thursday. She called 911, but we didn’t hear anything since then, so we have no idea if it’s even related or not.”

The couple’s bodies weren’t discovered until Monday after cops were called to carry out a welfare check after they weren’t heard from for four days.

Police said they were found with gunshot wounds to the head in separate rooms — Kaye in the pantry and Deluca in a bathroom.

Officers also found blood in the entryway and a broken window.

Detectives said Boordarian had no affiliation with the victims and believe the break-in was an isolated incident with no connection to any crime rings.

Kaye was an award-winning music supervisor who worked for “American Idol” for at least 15 seasons. Deluca was a musician.

She also worked on “Lip Sync Battle,” Miss USA and Miss Universe, among other shows.

“Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time,” an “American Idol” spokesperson told Variety.
