Andy Dick had some bystanders convinced the infamous actor had died right in front of them when he suffered an apparent overdose on Hollywood Boulevard — one of Los Angeles’ most famous tourist attractions.
In the troubling moment, Dick’s face and hands turned blue as he collapsed forward while sitting on a step outside a liquor store before he was laid on his back by friends, Shawn Harrell told The Post.
The comedian was eventually put on his back and Narcan was administered.

“I thought he’d passed away. They started spraying Narcan and tapping him on the chest. They were trying to keep him awake because he was non-responsive. They used more than one Narcan,” Harrell recounted.

I stood back and watched them do what they did.” Narcan is generally a medication used to help people suffering opioid overdoses.
The whole incident lasted about 10 minutes and Dick, 59, was not taken to a hospital, Harrell told The Post.

Dick was not taken to a local hospital after the scary episode.
“He wasn’t saying anything. But when it was all said and done, he was back to normal. It was like nothing happened. He stood up and looked around, was walking around.”
“I recognized him, but I didn’t really know who the hell he was. I watch a lot of comedy. His face looked familiar, but I couldn’t put a name on it,” Harrell added.
Dick’s apparent overdose, first reported by TMZ, is the latest in a string of disturbing happenings with the fallen Hollywood star.
It was just last month when Dick was spotted on Hollywood Boulevard, sitting on the ground, sipping from a cup and slurring his words.
Dick has had several run-ins with the law over the year, leading to arrests. Riverside County Sheriff's OfficeDick said he was relieved to be alive and was doing OK in a conversation with TMZ.
