Charlie King, who four years ago ran as Andrew Cuomo’s Lt. Governor, has called on his former running mate to offer refunds on $1.2 million left over from that race before he carries the cash over to his attorney-general campaign, The Post has learned.

King, an AG candidate who has quietly had huge back-to-back fund-raising periods, cited Jeanine Pirro’s decision to offer refunds to donors who gave to her aborted Senate campaign instead of transferring the money to her AG run.

“To Ms. Pirro’s credit, she has pledged to give refunds to those who donated to her abandoned campaign. Now, I urge you to do the same,” King wrote in the letter.

“Using a high profile race as a magnet for donations, only to divert those resources elsewhere without the consent of contributors, would represent a regrettable political decision.”
