The police presence on Annie Guthrie’s street has been steadily increasing since search and rescue units arrived Tuesday afternoon, 10 days after her mother Nancy was last seen, according to neighbors and reports.
Two armored SWAT vehicles from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department arrived on the street just after 6 p.m., while more search and rescue trucks were parked nearby, Fox News’ Michael Ruiz reported.
And federal agents have been going door-to-door looking for any clues into Nancy’s disappearance.
Ann Adams, 65, who has lived in a house around the corner from Annie Guthrie and her husband, Tommaso Cioni, for eight years, told The Post that two FBI agents and a Pima County Sheriff Department officer visited her for questioning on Tuesday.
Investigators canvass Annie Guthrie’s neighborhood after the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie from her Tucson, Ariz., home on February 10, 2026. REUTERSThe authorities asked Adams whether she had any information regarding the probe, and requested that she pull Ring doorbell camera footage from Jan. 31, the evening Nancy was last seen.
“They showed back up in the neighborhood this afternoon after the release of the photos,” Adams said, referring to new footage and stills capturing Guthrie’s alleged masked kidnapper.
“It didn’t show anything at all – it only really shows to the end of the driveway,” she said of her doorbell camera footage.
The rest of the questions she was asked by the agents and the officer were “pretty generic,” she added. “They just wanted to know if there was anything we wanted to share.”

”It’s a really quiet neighborhood usually,” said Adams, whose TV was blaring news of the latest updates in the 84-year-old disappearance.
“It’s so close to home … literally,” she said.
Pima County Sheriff’s Department helicopters have also been flying over their neighborhood for most of the afternoon, according to Adams.
The trio of authorities was spotted checking out the “washes” or dry streambeds in the desert that allow water to flow through them.
Nancy Guthrie was snatched from her Tucson home sometime after she was dropped off by Cioni, her son-in-law, following a dinner with him and her daughter, Annie.
Additional FBI agents also swarmed the area, with at least 10 seen fanning throughout the neighborhood.
No tactical gear was seen arriving with the officers, Ruiz reported.
