A woman and three children who were allegedly killed by dad Anthony Todt were discovered partially decomposed with stab wounds in the family’s Florida home, a report said Thursday.
Meghan Todt, 42, and two of her children — 13-year-old Alek and 11-year-old and Tyler — had been stabbed in the abdomen when cops found them dead last week in their rental home in the town of Celebration, the Hartford Courant reported, citing a preliminary report from the local Medical Examiner.
The youngest child, 4-year-old Zoe, was also found dead, but had not been stabbed, the Courant reported.
The exact cause of deaths for the family have not been determined, according to the report.
Anthony, originally from Colchester, Connecticut, was arrested last week and charged with four counts of murder.
He was ordered held without bail at his first court appearance.
When police responded to the home last Monday, Todt told them his wife was sleeping in an upstairs bedroom, NBC Connecticut reported, citing an arrest warrant.
Cops then found “four obviously deceased human bodies” and also found the family’s dog dead, according to the report.
Todt allegedly confessed to the slayings, and it was later revealed that he was facing health care fraud allegations.
While operating his Family Physical Therapy practice in Connecticut, Todt allegedly collected more than $130,000 from fraudulent bills he sent to private insurance firms and government-run programs, including Medicare.
Todt billed insurers for hundreds of hours of care that never took place — logging as many as five fake sessions a week for a single client, court docs allege.
Federal agents confronted Todt on Nov. 20, and he eventually admitted to some of the fraud.
