A 2-year-old boy died Saturday when a bounce house he was playing in was swept up by a gust of wind and crashed in a neighboring lot in Arizona, authorities said.
The giant inflatable went airborne around 5 p.m. with several children, including the tot, inside, the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office said, according to the Arizona Republic.
The 2-year-old was rushed to a local hospital and later pronounced dead from his injuries while a second child sustained non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s office reportedly said.

“We would like to extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the grieving family,” the office said, according to Fox 11.
The young victim, identified by a family friend as Bodhi, is the son of a Phoenix firefighter, fire officials said in an Instagram post.

A fundraiser was started for the distraught family and has raised more than $83,000 so far.
“As a community, we want to offer our support and alleviate the financial burden that accompanies such tragedies,” a family friend wrote. “Your donations will help Karl and Cristy focus on grieving their beloved Bodhi while also preparing for the new chapter in their lives.”
