An Arizona man just convicted of murder punched his lawyer inside the courtroom moments after a jury delivered his guilty verdict.
Chet Jack Wadsworth Maley, 28, waited until the jurors left the Tuscon, Ariz., courtroom before he slugged attorney Craig Kessler in the side of his head. Minutes earlier, the jury had convicted Maley of stabbing to death his pregnant girlfriend.
Maley was hit with an assault charge for the outburst, and a judge assigned him a new lawyer to handle that case as well as his May 13 sentencing on the murder charge.
