An “armed and dangerous woman” who was wanted after a police officer was injured in a shooting in South Carolina has been captured.
Lacey Cushman, 37, was taken into custody just before midnight after the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division issued a Blue Alert following a shooting that injured a Springfield police officer in rural Barnwell County.
The alert, issued around 10:30 p.m., made cellphones blare across the Palmetto State, according to The State newspaper.

Police said they believed she was heading east toward Bamberg County after the shooting on Gardenia Road in Blackville.
