An armed homeowner shot and killed a deranged brass-knuckle-wielding Missouri home invader who dared him to “kill” him, according to authorities.

John Fisher, 31, of East Prairie, Missouri, used brass knuckles to break the front door of the home of Austin Glastetter at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, KFVS12 reported.

Glastetter warned Fisher that he was armed, but Fisher reportedly defiantly told him, “You’ll have to kill me,” the outlet said, citing deputies.

Fearing for his life, Glastetter fired four shots, all of which struck Fisher, the Scott County Sheriff’s department said in a statement.

Fisher died from the bullet wounds, authorities said.

The armed homeowner immediately called 911 and cooperated with law enforcement, the outlet reported.

“The homeowner’s actions appear to have been justified in defense of themselves and their household. The safety and protection of one’s home is a fundamental right,” Sheriff Derick Wheetley said in a statement.

Glastetter has not been charged, and the incident remains under investigation.
