A man who claimed to be part of Robert F. Kennedy’s security detail — while carrying pistols and extra ammunition — was quickly detained by authorities after showing up at a California event featuring the Democratic presidential candidate, authorities said.
“The man, wearing two shoulder holsters with loaded pistols and spare ammunition magazines was carrying a U.S. Marshal badge on a lanyard and beltclip federal ID,” Kennedy said early Saturday on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “He identified himself as a member of my security detail.”
Kennedy posted an image of the man, who was wearing a black shirt with a white symbol reading “Emergency Medical Services.”
Adrian Paul Aispuro, 44, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and booked on $35,000 bail.
Aispuro’s brother, Raymond, who dropped him off at the event and was also briefly detained, said the entire matter was a misunderstanding and that his brother, an unemployed Emergency Medical Technician, had been told there was a security job for him there.
“He approached the security guard and asked about a point of contact for someone,” Raymond Aispuro, 38, told The Post. “They didn’t know who he was talking about. They told him to stay right there. He did, and next thing happens, the cops show up and arrest him.”
Adrian Paul Aispuro was arrested at a Robert F. Kennedy Jr. event. Instagram/robertfkennedyjrAispuro insisted his brother has a clean criminal record and is not a stalker or even political, and has no connection to the federal government.
“My brother got bad information from someone or was misled somehow. I really don’t think he was there for any other purpose except for work,” Raymond Aispuro continued. “He had his gun holstered, never took it out, never displayed any aggression.”
On July 31, Adrian Aispuro posted a threatening and often incoherent TikTok video in which his gun and fake marshal’s badge were prominently on display.
“My name is Adrian Paul Aispuro,” he said. “I need to speak to the Hell’s Angels, I need to speak to the Mongols.”
“Contact me,” he said — offering an email address.
“Let’s f–king break some kneecaps … Let’s f—k it up. I’m putting this planet on lockdown … Take care of each other, protect the women and the children. If I don’t make it back, call the f–king president. Your commander-in-chief, Donald J. Trump.”

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Aispuro had been impersonating a U.S. Marshal. Twitter/@RobertKennedyJrThe incident took place at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles Friday evening, where Kennedy delivered a speech in honor of Hispanic Heritage month.
Kennedy credited Gavin de Becker and Associates, the elite security firm guarding him, with flagging the gun-toting individual.
“Armed GDBA team members moved quickly to isolate and detain the man until LAPD arrived to make the arrest. I’m also grateful to LAPD for its rapid response,” he said.

Both his father, Robert F. Kennedy Sr. and uncle, former president Kennedy, were assassinated and the younger Kennedy said he was “aware” of the possibility he might also be targeted. He has been denied Secret Service protection by the White House — a situation he has repeatedly griped about.

“I’m still entertaining a hope that President Biden will allow me Secret Service protection. I am the first presidential candidate in history to whom the White House has denied a request for protection,” he said.
Kennedy’s campaign, which polling suggests once had the support of one in five Democratic primary voters, stumbled badly over the summer after the candidate was caught on video floating the possibility that the coronavirus had been an “ethnically targeted” bioweapon designed to spare Jews and Chinese people. He was subsequently denounced by several members of his family.
