People in Mahwah, New Jersey, apparently take their kiddie pools very seriously.

Cops responded to a call Monday about an armed man making “terroristic threats” against a teenager following a heated dispute over dog hair in a kiddie pool.

Jamal Brown, 23, was allegedly arguing with a neighbor at his Ramapo Brae Lane complex when he discovered the dog hair inside the pool and flipped, according to the Pascack Daily Voice.

Brown “took the pool inside the complex and emptied it on the floor and then left the area,” said local Police Chief James N. Batelli.

Witnesses told detectives that he “returned a short time later with a handgun and made threatening statements to a 17-year-old juvenile, including indicating that the weapon’s safety was off,” Batelli added.

Brown eventually turned himself in at Mahwah police headquarters and was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and making terroristic threats. Officials confirmed his arrest on Twitter Tuesday.
