The Justice Department on Thursday released the clearest footage yet of White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting suspect Cole Allen charging the Washington Hilton ballroom security checkpoint as part of the alleged assasination attempt against President Trump.

The video, shared on social media by DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, appears to show that Allen was armed with a long gun during his mad dash.

Moments before he charged, the suspect appeared to enter a doorway near where several TSA and Secret Service agents were gathered and two magnetometers had been set up.

A law enforcement officer with a K-9 noticed Cole and followed him toward the side room.

However, the officer did not enter the room and eventually turned his back to the doorway.

Allen emerged from the doorway seconds later in a full sprint and fired at security personnel, according to authorities.

A Secret Service officer drew his weapon and fired right as Allen rushed through the metal detector.

Other officers and agents quickly opened fire in Allen’s direction as well, as he continued running toward the ballroom.

Allen appeared to aim his long gun in the direction of the first officer who drew a weapon.

One Secret Service agent was wounded. The agency says there is no evidence that the agent was injured by friendly fire.

“All the evidence that I’ve seen: The suspect shot our officer, point-blank range, with a shotgun. Our officer, heroically, returned fire while being shot … in the chest,” Secret Service Director Sean Curran said on Fox News’ “The Will Cain Show.”

“He was able to get off five shots,” Curran said of the officer, who was wearing a bulletproof vest and falling as he fired. “The suspect was not hit.”

Pirro asserted the video showed “Cole Allen shoot a US Secret Service officer during his attempt to assassinate the President.”

Like Curran, the US attorney was adamant “there is no evidence the shooting was the result of friendly fire.”

The video also shows Allen casing the hotel the day before the attack.

Allen is seen walking up and down hallways and briefly entering the hotel gym in jeans and a long-sleeved shirt.

The night of the alleged assassination attempt, Allen walked toward the security checkpoint wearing what appeared to be a black trench coat, black pants, black shirt and red tie.

However, it did not appear he was wearing the trench coat when he emerged from the side room and rushed the officers.

Allen, 31, has been charged with the attempted assassination of the president, transportation of a firearm across state lines to commit a felony and discharging a gun.

He has not entered a plea in the case and remains behind bars.
