CHICAGO — Chicago police say a 27-year-old man has been arrested in the fatal shooting this month of a 9-year-old boy on the city’s South Side.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said Corey Morgan of Chicago was in custody Friday and that more information would be announced later in the day.
The victim, Tyshawn Lee, was gunned down Nov. 2 in what police say was a targeted gang shooting.
Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy has said the boy was lured into an alley and killed because of his father’s gang ties.
