A 28-year-old man was taken into custody Saturday morning after he allegedly opened fire around 2:30 p.m. Friday in the 2300 block of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, where people were gathered to celebrate the team’s Super Bowl championship, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported, citing Philadelphia police.
A 27-year-old woman was struck in the leg after she and her boyfriend had tried to cut a porta-potty line, sparking a melee.
A 20-year-old bystander was also shot in the thigh.

Philadelphia fans were celebrating the team’s Super Bowl dominance when the shooting occurred. USA TODAY Sports via Reuters ConSomeone in the crowd allegedly punched the woman’s boyfriend then fired shots in the crowd, the outlet reported.
Both victims were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where they are currently in stable condition, police said.
The unidentified 28-year-old male suspect is in police custody and charges are pending.
Police reportedly recovered a weapon.
The violence broke out close to where Eagles players and team officials were making celebratory remarks on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore previously told The Inquirer.
