CANBERRA, Australia — WikiLeaks founder and Australian Senate candidate Julian Assange yesterday pledged to enforce transparency in Parliament if he wins a seat in the September elections.
“When you turn a bright light on, the cockroaches scuttle away, and that’s what we need to do,” Assange said in an Australian TV interview at the Ecuadorean Embassy in London, where he is taking refuge from sex-crime charges in Sweden.
