LANCASTER, Pa. — Three Mennonite women — each 84 to 90 years old — were beaten, tied up and assaulted with a stun gun by a home invader who raged against their faith and vandalized their Bible, authorities said.

Two of the women were visiting the other one Friday morning in Clay Township when the intruder, posing as an insurance salesman, attacked them, cops said. He claimed to be an ex-Mennonite, they added.

The women remained hospitalized yesterday, the Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era newspaper reported.
