At least four people were shot in a Boston suburb during a Cape Verde World Cup celebration that turned violent Friday night.
Hundreds of Cape Verde fanatics gathered in the downtown Brockton neighborhood when cops received multiple reports of gunfire on Main Street just before midnight, according to Boston 25 News.
“Officers responded to the intersection of Main Street and Park Street and found at least four people with gunshot wounds,” the Brockton Police Department said in a statement.

No arrests have been made and an investigation into the gunfire shooting is ongoing, according to reports.
Celebrations saw hundreds dancing, singing, waving flags and flooding the streets of Brockton before gunfire rang out — with video shared online showing fans hanging out of car windows as drivers blared their horns in rhythm.
Other video showed flagbearers stopping traffic as cars leaned on horns and a police cruiser prowled the streets with lights flashing.
Cape Verde tied with Saudi Arabia in a game that was played in Atlanta on Friday night.
The tiny African island nation became the smallest country to qualify for the World Cup’s knockout round with Friday’s draw.
No arrests were made in the June 26th shooting. WCVBCape Verde’s successful underdog draw against powerhouse Spain was also met with street celebrations — but those saw Boston cops dancing with fans at City Hall Plaza, video showed.
Brockton is home to the largest Cape Verdean population in the US, according to NBC Boston.
France and Norway faced off at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Friday night with no reports of chaos stemming from Francophilic celebrations of Les Bleus 4-1 win.
The Brockton Police Department did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
