ST. PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, a conservative firebrand, 2012 presidential candidate and favorite of Tea Partiers, announced yesterday that she will not run for a fifth term.

“My decision was not influenced by any concerns about my being re-elected,” Bachmann insisted in a video on her Web site.

She narrowly won a fourth term in 2012 over Democrat Jim Graves, who is running again in 2014.
