A 10-year-old Russian girl enjoyed a real-life version of the film “Up” when she was lifted into the air by the force of thousands of yellow and red balloons.
The buoyant balloon feat, part of the city of Sarartov’s 425th birthday, quickly went viral.
The young girl was the first of many youngsters to be carried into the air by the balloons, though no adults were allowed as there was a weight restriction of 55 pounds.
The children all wore safety harnesses and the day of fun ended with no mishaps.
“Up,” the 2009 Pixar animated comedy, features an elderly widower who straps thousands of balloons to his home and floats to South America, in order to fulfill a pledge made to his late wife.
