Eight people were shot, one fatally, at a Sunday afternoon cookout in Baltimore, according to reports.
Bullets started flying just after 5 p.m. near Edmondson and North Warwick avenues in the city’s Western District, according to WMAR.
Initial reports indicated that the shooting was near a church, but the crime scene was established down the block near a barber shop, according to The Baltimore Sun.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison later clarified to reporters that none of the area churches were targeted.
