He probably didn’t see the second punch coming.
An Alabama man got whacked so hard in the face, his eye popped out and exploded — and now his alleged assailant is behind bars, police said.
The suspect, Justin Wesley Leverett, turned himself in Friday to authorities in connection with the powerful wallop, according to the Mobile Police Department.
Police said 37-year-old Leverett was arguing with another man April 20 before he allegedly pummeled him.
“During an argument, the suspect punched the victim in the face causing his eye to pop out of its socket,” police said. “The suspect then punched the eyeball causing it to explode.”
Leverett was booked at Mobile County Metro Jail on assault charges.
