LONDON — A second suspect in the murder of a soldier who was run down by a car and hacked to death in a London street has been officially charged with the crime.

The Metropolitan Police said 28-year-old Michael Adebolajo was charged yesterday with murdering military drummer Lee Rigby.

Adebolajo, also charged with the attempted murder of two police officers and possession of a firearm, was released Friday from a hospital where he was treated for injuries suffered in the May 22 attack.

His alleged accomplice, Michael Adebowale, 22, has also been charged with murder.
