WASHINGTON — Sen. Bernie Sanders, the oldest candidate in the presidential race, released a letter from his doctor Thursday saying the 74-year-old is in “very good health.”

Over the years Sanders has been treated for conditions that include gout, superficial skin tumors, two hernias, hypothyroidism and the painful colon condition diverticulitis, according to his MD, Brian Monahan.
