WASHINGTON — Sen. Bernie Sanders has brought in the most money of any 2020 contender so far, announcing Tuesday that his campaign has taken in $18.2 million.

This beats Sen. Kamala Harris’ $12 million haul, which she announced Monday night.

Sanders, a second-time presidential candidate, has $28 million on hand, campaign officials said in a Tuesday morning conference call.

Around 900,000 people have donated to his campaign, compared to 218,000 for Harris.

Sanders’ average donation is around $20, as opposed to the $27 he touted when running for the nomination against Hillary Clinton in 2016.
