WASHINGTON — Bernie Sanders fought Hillary Clinton to a near-draw in Iowa and now has her on the run nationally, according to a startling new poll.
A Quinnipiac University poll, taken after the Iowa caucuses and released Friday, gives Clinton 44 percent, with Sanders right at her heels with 42 percent.
Eleven percent of those polled were undecided.
A Reuter/Ipsos survey taken after Iowa showed similar results, with Clinton holding a slim 48 percent to 45 percent lead.
Most polls before Iowa had Clinton ahead by double-digits.
