WASHINGTON — Sen. Bernie Sanders claimed Monday that his inability to win a single endorsement from his Democratic Senate colleagues is actually a plus.

Having no support among the sitting senators shows he’s not part of “the establishment,” compared with Hillary Rodham Clinton, who has 31 Senate endorsements, he claimed.

“It tells you that one of us is a candidate of the establishment, one of us is involved in establishment politics and establishment economics, and it says that maybe, the other candidate is prepared to take on the establishment,” Sanders said on CNN.
