WASHINGTON — Bernie Sanders will deliver an update on his ailing campaign on Wednesday after his terrible showing in Tuesday night’s primaries.

The socialist senator from Vermont will address the media at 1 p.m. in his native Burlington, Vermont — his first remarks after losing four states to former Vice President Joe Biden.

It is unclear if Sanders will announce he is dropping out of the race, but he faces an uphill battle in upcoming races in Florida, Georgia and Pennsylvania.

Sanders now has a very narrow path to becoming the Democratic nominee and is trailing Biden, who has amassed 856 delegates to Sanders’ 708.
