Presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke angrily lashed out after the latest mass shooting in Texas this weekend — calling it “f–ked up.”
“We don’t know how many have been killed. We don’t know the motivation. But here’s what we do know: This is f–ked up,” the Texan native wrote on Twitter on Saturday night after at least five were shot dead and 21 more injured in a drive-by shooting rampage.
The Democrat also shared a video of him saying the same during a speech in Fairfax Station, Virginia, getting a huge cheer following the crude payoff.
“We do know that this has to stop in this country. There is no reason,” he told the crowd, blaming Congress for failing to pass meaningful gun laws and pushing for a mandatory buyback program for AR-15s and AK-47s.
‘There is no reason that we have to accept this as our fortune, as our future, as our fate. And yet functionally, right now, we have,’ he insisted.
“This is not right. This is not an act of God, this is not some natural disaster, this is a human-caused problem with a human solution.
“And if you’re willing, we can be the humans who are gonna do something about this.”
The mass shooting began Saturday afternoon when the gunman pulled a rifle on police during a traffic stop in Odessa, leaving five dead and more than a dozen others injured.
The name of the shooter — a white man in his 30s — hasn’t been released and his motive is unknown.
