Pop star Beyonce will not be appearing at the Democratic National Convention tonight despite a report by TMZ claiming they had confirmed she would, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Earlier, the celebrity gossip outlet reported the “Single Ladies” singer would perform at the event.
“Beyoncé was never scheduled to be there,” the singer’s rep told The Hollywood Reporter.

A DJ at the DNC played Swift’s “Shake it Off” inside the United Center during a brief commercial break, pouring fuel on the fire of speculation that the pop superstar could be a special guest tonight – but that guess appears to have been incorrect.
“Queen Bey” supported President Biden and Harris in the 2020 election, as well as raised money for former President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign.
Country artists The Chicks and pop star P!NK are also slated to perform on the DNC’s closing night.
Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Lil Jon and Maren Morris have been among the musical acts entertaining delegates in between political speeches.
