Like daughter, like mother — but not so late.

Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles Lawson is hosting a brunch fundraiser Saturday for Texas Senate hopeful Amanda Edwards, a source familiar with the event told The Post.

Last year, Beyonce endorsed Democratic Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke — but waited until the final hours of Election Day to come out for the former congressman’s campaign. That drew jeers from O’Rourke supporters who thought Queen Bey’s influence a bit earlier on could have made a difference in the race, which saw Cruz capture 50.9% of the vote compared to O’Rourke’s 48.3%.

This time, the elder Knowles is starting early, providing financial support to Edwards — a Democratic Houston city councilwoman — just a month into her campaign.

She’s among the handful of Democrats running to beat incumbent Sen. John Cornyn, a Republican, in 2020.

Tickets for the event start at $150, the young professional rate, and go up to $2,800, the maximum amount donors can give to a candidate’s primary campaign.

Edwards is an attorney, a millennial and is the first African American woman to run for a Texas Senate seat. Lawson donated to Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012, donating dollars to the Democratic National Committee the latter year as well, according to OpenSecrets.org.
