WASHINGTON — Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th president of the United States on Wednesday after placing his hand on a huge, 127-year-old family Bible that immediately sparked uproar on Twitter.

The new commander-in-chief is a devout Catholic and fittingly took the oath of office on a Good Book that has belonged to the Biden family since 1893.

The ornate, leather-bound, 5-inch-thick tome resembles something out of a “Lord of the Rings” film, adorned with Celtic crosses and two large metal clasps.

The giant family heirloom was hard to miss during the inauguration festivities, sitting on its own perch next to Biden to hold its groaning weight.

“Joe’s Bible put on some very relatable quarantine weight,” added another pundit who later speculated, “y’all that might be THE Bible.”

“Joe Biden got the Bible Dumbledore kept in the Headmaster’s office,” one pundit wrote on Twitter, referring to the fictional Hogwarts headmaster in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series.

“Joe Biden’s Bible must be the director’s cut,” wrote another person of the comically large Bible.

“NATIONAL TREASURE 3 should be Nicolas Cage stealing Joe Biden’s big bible,” one movie buff wrote, referring to the adventure film series.

The former veep used the same family Bible when he was sworn into the US Senate in 1973, as well as his two oaths as vice president in 2009 and 2013.

Biden’s late son, Beau Biden, also used the massive family Bible for his own swearing-in ceremony as Delaware’s attorney general in 2007.
