Former Vice President Joe Biden tops the list of possible Democratic presidential candidates in 2020, according to a poll released on Monday.

Biden, who served two terms under President Obama, overwhelmingly led other Democrats with a 74 percent favorability rating, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren at 51 percent and Sen. Al Franken, the former “Saturday Night Live” cast member, with 45 percent, according to the Morning Consult/Politico survey.

Asked last month about whether he would consider a race for the White House in 2020, Biden, who would be nearly 78 by the election, said he was focusing on family after his son Beau’s 2015 death from bone cancer.

“Could I? Yes. Would I? Probably not,” he said.

Other notables on the list included Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey with a 37 percent favorability rating, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York with 28 percent, and Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz with 21 percent.

The poll surveyed 895 Democratic voters between June 8 and 12 has a plus or minus 3 percentage-point margin of error.
