Bill Gates will return to the spotlight for the first time since his bombshell divorce announcement, when he speaks before the US Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday.
The billionaire philanthropist is slated to participate in an “armchair conversation” with the organization’s CEO Suzanne Clark to talk about global economic recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Microsoft co-founder will “discuss lessons learned on pandemic response and health system resiliency,” the organization said, MarketWatch reported.
He will also talk about the “role of technology in addressing climate change and energy challenges, and the importance of work to promote an inclusive recovery both in the United States and around the globe.”
Gates has been lying low at an ultra-exclusive California golf club amid the fallout from his split from his wife of 27 years, Melinda French Gates, earlier this month, a source told Page Six.
A bombshell report in the New York Times this week revealed Gates allegedly made unwanted advances on women he worked with at both Microsoft and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

“There was an affair almost 20 years ago which ended amicably,” a spokeswoman told the Wall Street Journal.
He has denied that he mistreated any employees and blasted the “rumors and speculation” surrounding his split.

“The rumors and speculation surrounding Gates’s divorce are becoming increasingly absurd, and it’s unfortunate that people who have little to no knowledge of the situation are being characterized as ‘sources.’”
