Blood found on the front steps of Savannah Guthrie’s mom’s home belongs to the missing 84-year-old grandmother, police confirmed in a shocking update.
DNA samples were taken from the blood — seen in hair-raising footage from outside Nancy Guthrie’s million-dollar Tucson house.
After the expedited analysis, it was determined to belong to Nancy, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said at a Thursday press conference.
Blood was found outside Nancy Guthrie’s home in Arizona. BACKGRID“We rushed what we thought was the best target for DNA, we did a rush through, and got some of that back,” Nanos said. “The blood on the porch, that was one we did, it came back to Nancy. That’s what we know.”
That DNA was just one of several forensic samples police took from Nancy’s home and submitted for expedited analysis through the FBI labs – but so far, only analysis of the porch blood has been completed, according to police.
“There’s still more items that have been submitted, we just haven’t got them back,” Nanos said.
Nancy – mother of “Today” show host Savannah – hasn’t been seen since Saturday night when her son-in-law dropped her at home after a dinner with her daughter.
