Startling body camera footage captures the moment Arizona police shot a suicidal man earlier this month.

Phoenix cops were patrolling the area of 19th Avenue and Indian School Road around 5:45 a.m. Nov. 13 when they spotted a man, later identified as 35-year-old Brian Streeter, assaulting a woman near the roadway, officials said.

When cops stopped to investigate, Streeter ran from them and pulled a gun from his waistband — which he first pointed at himself and then moved around in different directions.

Officers can be heard in the video repeating commands for Streeter to stop and drop the weapon, which he ignored and instead walked around an open business — with the cops trailing him.

“Bro, if you don’t stop right now, we’re going to shoot you!” one of the officers can be heard warning.

Instead, Streeter, who had his back turned to the officers, walked back around to the street corner where the alleged assault occurred.

At that point, both officers fired their service weapons, striking Streeter.

Three gunshots can be heard, though Streeter fell after the first shot. He suffered bullet wounds to the back and the leg.

“You shoot him two more times after he’s down,” his father, Brian Streeter Sr., told KNXV-TV. “People need to know that.”

“This man has a gun to his own head,” he added. “He never waved it at anyone, he never tried to shoot anyone, and you shoot him in his back.”

He said his son has mental-health struggles, including previously attempting suicide when facing arrest.

Streeter was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and upon release, will be booked on multiple felony charges, police said.

Both officers involved in the shooting are assigned to the Black Mountain Precinct, both with about two years of service.

One is 23 years old and the other 29.

The female victim of the original assault did not require medical attention, and no officers or other community members were hurt.

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office will determine whether the officers’ actions adhered to department policy.
