National security adviser John Bolton said the United States has a plan to rid North Korea of its nuclear weapons within a year if the reclusive regime abides by the agreement Kim Jong Un signed with President Trump at their summit in Singapore.
“I’m sure that the secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, will be discussing this with the North Koreans in the near future, about, really, how to dismantle all of their WMD and ballistic missile programs in a year,” Bolton said on CBS’s ”Face the Nation.”
Bolton wouldn’t discuss a report that said US intelligence is aware that Pyongyang is trying to hide its missile numbers, but he said that if Kim is willing, denuclearization could happen quickly.
