A 10-year-old boy has died after falling off a play structure floating in the middle of a Michigan lake, authorities said — as his heartbroken mom described him as an “amazing son and brother.”

The incident took place at Camp Dearborn in Milford at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Michigan State Police reported that officers responded to the 626-acre recreational facility, located about 40 miles northwest of Detroit, after receiving reports of a child who was unresponsive and not breathing.

Witnesses said the 10-year-old was playing on a piece of equipment located in the camp’s main lake when he fell.

First responders transported the boy to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, despite efforts to revive him.

The boy’s mother on Thursday identified the child to The Post as Carson Dunn.

Carly Burgess revealed that her son died from a blunt force trauma to the chest after hitting a platform while falling off the play structure.

An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday, but State Police tweeted “it appears this was a tragic accident.”

Burgess, who also has a younger child, told The Post that Carson was “an amazing son and brother” who loved basketball and played on a team. He had just finished fourth grade in June.

“He was very good at math and was a caring friend,” the heartbroken mom added during a Facebook Messenger exchange. “I am at peace knowing he is in Gods (sic) hands now.”
