A 6-year-old boy set off a terror alert at an airport in northern Turkey by bringing several realistic-looking toy guns in his backpack.

A portion of the incident was caught on a cellphone video, which shows a visibly relieved police officer laughing with the youngster while examining his facsimile firearms.

The boy, identified by local media outlets as Selim Köse, was at the DHM Yenisehir Airport in Bursa’s Yenisehir district when his bag set off alarm bells after he put it through an X-ray scanner, which detected weapons.

Police immediately stopped the device and seized the small red backpack for a closer inspection.

But the scare was short-lived, after the cops opened the bag to find that the guns were, in fact, plastic toys.

Footage recorded at the airport shows a beaming Selim showing off a fake black handgun — and even pulling the trigger — as a cop sitting next to him laughs.

Selim had gone to the airport to see off his grandparents, who were departing on their Umrah — an Islamic pilgrimage to the holy site of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, reported Bursa Basin.

After briefly triggering the terror scare, the 6-year-old played with the police officers for a while, before saying goodbye to his relatives.
