Everybody loves a waterslide – even Brazilian cows!

In a dramatic and bizarre run for freedom, a cow pegged for slaughter escaped from a cattle ranch 500 miles west of Rio de Janeiro this week, and bolted to an adjacent water park.

Once there, the cow climbed the stairs of a waterslide and slowly slid down into the pool.

Surprisingly, the slide, which is only supposed to hold 450 pounds, held firm under the bovine’s 700-pound frame.

The cow earned a lifelong reprieve. The owner, according to IHeartRadio, said the animal will become the family pet.

Its name is now Tobogã, which means “slide” in Portuguese.
