A Minnesota brewer was sent flying across the room after a tank valve exploded and shot a stream of beer directly at his chest, according to wild footage of the mishap.

An employee at Back Channel Brewing Co, identified by the company as Brendan, was checking a valve on Jan. 23 when beer suddenly shot out of a hole, knocking him on his backside, SWNS reported.

Brendan, drenched in IPA, quickly jumps back up and tries to plug the hole as the beer continues to gush out onto the floor, video posted by the brewery earlier this month shows.

“I had to get a sneak peak [sic] of how good the beer tasted,” he commented.

The brewery aptly named the 6.5 % New England IPA “Blow Black” — available in limited supply.

Though the video doesn’t show what happened next, the brewery told KARE that Brendan was fine.
