At 95 years of age, Britain’s oldest identical twins chalk up their longevity to abstinence, raw sausage and plenty of Guinness.
“Just a link of sausage and spread it on your bread,” Lilian “Lil” Cox enthused during a recent television appearance with her sister, Doris Hobday.
“It’s nice!” Cox insisted to the aghast hosts of ITV’s “Good Morning.” “Or I can just cut one in two and put it in my mouth and cut the skin off.”
Cox also credits “no sex and plenty of Guinness” for keeping her and her sister sprightly.
The two widows, known locally as “Lil and Doris, the Tipton Twins” after their hometown, live in side-by-side houses and recently became internet sensations.
The page also chronicles their fitness routines.
