A British diplomat has been missing for five days after he mysteriously vanished on a run near his home, according to a report.

Richard Morris — a former ambassador to Nepal who is set become the British High Commissioner to Fiji —  was last seen leaving his house around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday local time in Bentley, a village in East Hampshire, to go on the run, the BBC reported.

The 52-year-old, who is described as a long-distance runner, was wearing a blue long-sleeved top with a half zip, black shorts and blue sneakers, the outlet reported.

Morris served as the ambassador to Nepal from November 2015 to November 2019, the outlet reported. He was set to take up his new post in Fiji in July.

East Hants Police searching for the diplomat have called on the public to report any information related to his disappearance.

“His family are understandably concerned for his welfare,” the agency said. “We’ve been making inquiries this evening but are now turning to you for your help.”
