A three-year-old girl who was one of four young children stabbed in a knife attack in the French Alps will be able to leave the hospital in the coming days, prosecutors said. 

The accused assailant, a Syrian refugee, has been slapped with preliminary attempted murder charges in the southeastern French town of Annecy, the Independent reported

The British girl, identified locally as Ettie, was traveling with her parents on vacation when she was assaulted at a playground, along with three other children and two adults during the Thursday incident.

French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, visited Ettie and the other victims in the hospital. Ettie was awake and “watching television,” Macron said.

The attacker has been identified in French media as Abdalmasih H., according to Sky News
