President-elect Donald Trump and billionaire buddy Elon Musk are inevitably bound to butt heads once the post-campaign honeymoon is over because of their egos, a CNN analyst predicts.
But Trump will ultimately come out on top in a battle between the two, said the tech journalist, Kara Swisher, on “The Chris Wallace Show” over the weekend.
“I’m gonna repeat my assertion about Elon Musk and Donald Trump. One of my favorite movies is ‘Highlander,’ and ‘there can be only one,’” she said, quoting the famous line from the 1986 film.
“And that‘s gonna be Donald Trump. And I think we’ll see what happens in the wake of that.”

But Swisher said she believes their dominating personalities will spark tension and ultimately ruin the friendship.
Musk could play a major role in Trump’s administration, some have speculated. Wallace referred to an Axios story published last week that described Musk as “the most powerful unelected man ever.”
But Trump “does not like to share the spotlight,” the show host noted.
Swisher predicted that the pair’s potential falling-out will stem from their need for attention rather than political differences.
“In comparison of the need for attention between Bannon and Musk, Bannon looks like a kitty cat. Elon needs a lot of attention, and Trump will be irritated by that,” she concluded, referring to ultra-conservative Trump crony Steve Bannon.

Musk already joined Trump on a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last week, underscoring just how close the two have gotten.
The pair also were spotted having lunch at Mar-a-Lago together Wednesday, after Trump’s sweeping victory over Vice President Kamala Harris,
Musk was even included in a Trump family picture after the election and seen walking around with the president-elect at the Mar-a-Lago gift shop with his kids.
