Killer Brian Kohberger wears his signature blank stare and what appears to be a slight grin in a new mug shot released a day after he was jailed for life for the murders of four University of Idaho students.

Wearing the same orange prison garb with two “Ls” for size large on the collar that he wore during his sentencing Wednesday, the convicted murderer, 30, gives his infamous empty gaze to the camera in the newly-released picture.

His pupils also appear dilated.

He appears to be far gaunter than he was when he was arrested for the twisted killings of Xana Kernodle, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen and Ethan Chapin in their off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho in 2022.

Kohberger’s face is emotionless, just as it was during the hours of harrowing impact statements read to him by his victims’ loved ones on Wednesday.

In a previous mugshot from last September year, Kohberger’s face appeared much fuller, while he also had a beard.

His first mugshot, following his arrest in December 2022, shows him cleanshaven.

During sentencing on Wednesday, Kohberger remained expressiveless throughout.

Throughout the hearing, a handwritten note with a heart on it could be seen next to the cold-blooded killer on the defense table.

Toward the end of the hearing, one of his attorneys picked it up and asked Kohberger about it.

When he replied, she smiled and took the note from him.

He refused to speak during the hearing, only uttering three words “I respectfully decline” when asked by the judge if he had anything to say.

Kohberger will now spend the rest of his life in maximum security prison without the possibility of parole.
