It’s furry, weighs less than a pound and is definitely not armed to the teeth — but this intruder still managed to scare the life out of this burly cop.

Surveillance footage shows the moment a St. Petersburg, Florida, officer freaks out when a rat scurries by him in the hallway of the police department.

In the one-minute clip, the unnamed officer can be seen casually walking down the hallway when the rodent comes darting out from around a corner, causing the officer to bolt out of the way and turn scaredy-cat.

The cop then cautiously peers around corner to make sure the corridor is clear of rodents — and possibly fellow officers, who may have witnessed his reaction.
