The owner of a small lower Manhattan catering company has been bilked by not one, but two campaigns for presidential hopefuls.
Peter Semetis, 62, who runs Sale & Pepe Caterers on Exchange Plaza, catered a hot breakfast spread for a Bernie Sanders campaign event at NYU back on March 31.
Semetis served 90 people, but Sanders has still not paid the $1,564.91 tab, the caterer said.
“Now Bernie is in danger and I’m sure I’m not a priority,” said Semetis.
Semetis headed to small-claims court and filed suit — just as he did eight years ago against Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
It took Clinton officials more than two months to pay the nearly $2,500 that was due after he catered a breakfast.
